Everyone knows it’s important to find a job you’re good at, but how do you do that? Research shows it’s really hard to work out what you’ll be good at ahead of time, especially just by thinking about it. And career tests don’t work either. So should you just give up? Not yet. In this talk, we’ll present an alternative approach. This series of talks will help you find a fulfilling career that makes the world a better place. It's based on five years of research we did alongside academics at Oxford, and is part of our career guide: https://80000hours.org/career-guide/ See the full article this talk is based on: https://80000hours.org/career-guide/personal-fit/ There you'll find all the details, as well as tips on how to apply the ideas to your own career. The talk was recorded at the University of Cambridge in January 2016.
